Please share your “why” for why you decided to pursue your healing practice.

I always liked caring for others and teaching them how to care for themselves, but after living for over a couple of decades turned off, I decided I needed to make some hard choices. I’d been focusing on the needs and feelings of others instead of my own, detached from my desires, ignoring or doubting my intuition, and dimming my brightness and my potential; I realized that I was feeling stagnant, cut off from myself, my fire, and my real desires and made some huge changes (broke up with my kind fiance, left my job, sold my car, bought a one-way ticket to Europe, and worked on learning who I am, what I want, and all that I can be). These were both the hardest and some of the most authentic choices I’ve ever made, and I am so lucky that I did. I have never felt more empowered, free, and myself. Though not everyone needs to make such drastic life choices in order to feel this way, I want to assist my clients in feeling this same passionate, turned-back-on empowerment within themselves. For life.

Using dance and mindful, intuitive movement to process strong or stagnant emotion and move it out of your body--in a way that feels good! This energy can then be used to create or to grow and transform, accessed as a tool with intention and power. And the space it leaves behind can become loaded with potential.

Please share your best piece of personal advice.

Do not take things personally. This helps you to let go of your emotional attachment to the (inevitable) judgments of others, and release responsibility for others’ reactions and behaviors. Doing so allows you to be truly yourself, speak your truths without fear, follow your desires without guilt, and feel so much lighter, freer, and more empowered and authentic.
